2014 Texas Lunar Festival

Texas Lunar New Year Festival is excited to announce the 18th Annual Texas Lunar New Year celebration. It will be held on Feb. 8, 2014 at Alief Amity Park located at 12509 Alief Clodine Rd, Houston, TX 77082. Last year celebration drew over 10,000 attendees; the festival is open to the general public. We not only celebrate an important part of Asian but also have international performances. In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, a different animal or mythological beast is represented every year in a twelve-year cycle. The year of 2014 is the Year of Horse.

The Texas Lunar New Year Celebration is the largest celebration of the Chinese community in South Central United States. This Festival is a one of a kind family oriented event that attracts large numbers of people from every ethnic group. The festival offers a series of displays, food booths, entertainment, acrobats, lion’s dancers, martial arts demonstrations, and carnival rides, games and doors prizes of all ages. Activities are carefully selected to compliment this great and exciting celebration.

We are proposing to divide Alief Amity Park into various international zones: Asian – India/Pakistan – Arabia – Africa – Europe – South America. We have organized major media coverage and support for this event.
